For trucking companies with 5 to 30 trucks

Run your trucks, not your paperwork.

Tandem reads the broker's rate con, builds the load for you to check, and shows you the lines that cost money before the truck rolls.

Find the $300 clause before your truck rolls. Design preview with sample data. Today's console does the same job with a plainer look.

The week you already know

It's 9 at night and you're still typing a rate con.

If you run a small fleet, this probably sounds like your week.

  • Rate cons land in your email all day. Every one gets typed again, by hand, into a spreadsheet or a TMS that felt old ten years ago.
  • Page 3 says $300 off for a late delivery and $100 off if tracking isn't on. Nobody reads page 3 until the money is gone.
  • Drivers text BOL photos to three different people. Friday comes and nobody can find the signed POD, so the invoice waits, and so does the money.
  • Thursday night someone keys every driver's pay into the bank, one by one, and hopes the percent was right.
  • A driver's medical card runs out and nobody notices until someone asks for it.

None of this is hard. There's just too much of it, and it all lands on the same two or three people.

What changes

Tandem does the typing, the reading and the chasing. You make the calls.

Stop retyping rate cons. Start checking them.

Drop in the PDF or a photo from your phone. Tandem fills the new load: stops, times, pickup numbers, rate. Anything it isn't sure of is marked for you to check, and you click Create.

Built

See what costs money before the truck rolls.

Late fees, tracking fines and the rules that come with them are pulled out of the fine print and shown in plain words, with the dollar amount next to each.

Built

Drivers get the load, not the paperwork.

The driver sees stops, times and pickup numbers. Paid by the mile? He never sees the rate. His BOL and POD photos land on the right load.

In testing

Friday pay without Thursday night.

Per mile, percent, owner-operator, deductions: you set the rules once. Tandem prepares the week line by line, you approve it, and every driver gets a statement he can actually read.

Who built it

Why a truck driver built this.

Hey, I'm Andrei.

I drive over-the-road in the US. Most weeks my office is a truck cab, and I've watched what the people back at the office go through to keep a small fleet moving.

So I built Tandem around the real paperwork of the small carrier I drive for: real rate cons, real pay rules, real driver papers. [PLACEHOLDER: name the carrier only with its owner's written OK]

One night it read a rate con for a load I was hauling and showed me two lines I had never read: $300 off for a late delivery, $100 off if tracking wasn't on. That's when I knew what this was for.

I'm not a big software company. No investors, no call center, no sales team. Just me, the tools I build with, and a few carriers who want their evenings back.

Proof

No customer stories yet. I won't make them up.

Tandem is new. Here is what I can show you today, and what's missing.

It reads real rate cons. So far from seven different brokers, including scanned ones and phone photos.

A typical rate con is read in 15 to 40 seconds in our tests. A long four-page one took about a minute.

Its pay math matched a real statement to the cent, on a load two drivers shared after a breakdown.

[First carrier's result, in their words, with name and permission]

[Minutes per load, before and after, measured in the side-by-side trial]

How it works

Three steps. No big switch-over day.

  1. We set you up together.

Your drivers, trucks and trailers go in with you on a call. Bringing them in from your old system automatically is coming.

  2. Drop in a rate con.

The load is ready to check in about a minute. Fix what's marked, click Create.

  3. Dispatch, collect papers, pay.

The driver gets the load on his phone, sends his papers back to it, and the week's pay is prepared for you to approve.

During early access you keep your current system running next to Tandem, so nothing is at risk while you try it.

For your drivers

One screen that tells the driver what's next.

  • The load he's on is at the top: next stop, time, the pickup number and one big Navigate button. The next load waits underneath.
  • He sends the BOL or POD from the load itself and sees "Sent ✓". No signal? It waits on the phone and goes when it can.
  • Paid by the mile? No rates, no totals. Ever.
  • Your company's emergency numbers, two taps away, set once by the office.

In testing with our own drivers on iPhone and Android. Not in the App Store or Google Play yet.

Coming Arrived and departed marked from location, so drivers don't have to tap, and chat with dispatch.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Is Tandem live?

It runs on real loads from the carrier I drive for, in a test setup. No carrier runs its whole office on it yet. That's exactly what early access is for.

What doesn't it do yet?

Today you upload rate cons; forwarding them by email is coming. Also coming: sending invoices to your factoring company, ELD connections (Samsara first) and IFTA miles, a QuickBooks export, bringing data in from your old system automatically, and the driver app in the stores.

Not planned: our own ELD or hours of service, EDI, and load boards. We connect to those instead of rebuilding them.

Do I have to switch everything on day one?

No. Run Tandem next to what you use now until you trust it.

Will my drivers see what the load pays?

Not unless you want them to. Drivers paid by the mile never see the rate. Drivers on percent see the money their pay is based on.

Who can see my company's data?

Your people, with the roles you give them. Each company is walled off from every other one inside the database itself. I can't look in unless you invite me for support, for a set time, and that visit is logged.

Do my office people need an authenticator app?

No. Sign in with Face ID, Touch ID or a fingerprint (passkeys).

What does it cost?

Founding carriers start with 60 days free, then pay $1.95 per load, locked for 12 months. A load counts once, however many legs or revisions it has.

Is it for brokers?

No. Tandem is built for carriers with their own trucks and drivers.

You're one person. What if you disappear?

Fair question.

Your data is yours. You can export it any time, and you would get a full export before anything ever shut down.

What language is it in?

English, for the office and for drivers.
